Since I am still contemplating on the things I would be posting in this blog, I will be kicking-off with our department's trip to Caleruega Church last June 8.

Transfiguration Chapel |
Caleruega Church also known as the Transfiguration Chapel is located at Barangay Kaylaway, Batulao, Nasugbu, Batangas. The privacy that couples and their families get during the wedding, which adds up to the sacredness and sincerity of the ceremony, makes this place a favorite wedding destination. Plus the fact that strategically it is near Tagaytay, another place for dream weddings. Unfortunately, a wedding ceremony was occurring during our visit that's why we have no pictures of the chapel's interior.

"Close to nature, Closer to God" |
It is also a good place for retreats, as written in the signs, "Close to nature, Closer to God." It offers an atmosphere for spiritual renewal, meditation and relaxation. For persons and families needing time together and wanting a break from their busy and hectic lifestyles and for those who wants to appreciate nature at its best, Caleruega is the perfect place.

Another added place to visit in Caleruega is the Chapel on the Hill, which is literally a chapel built on top of the hill. You will have to exert major efforts in climbing the hill, but up there awaits a majestic scenery of greens, cool air and a Chapel in which you can pray and meditate without any disturbance.

With just 30 pesos, one can have a good stroll around this wonderful place. To get here from Crossing Tagaytay, just take the road heading to the province of Batangas. See the map I have attached below:
