Heavenly Halo-halo at Razon's of Guagua: Mangan Ta Na!

Halo-halo is a popular iced Filipino desert made out of the mixture of sugar, milk and different toppings such as saba (a variety of banana), gulaman (jellies), sago (tapioca), beans, pinipig (roasted and pounded young green rice grain), leche flan and ube halaya. It is topped with vanilla ice cream for a more delightful taste.

Razon's of Guagua or simply Razon, started as a small refreshment parlor in their residence in L.M. Subdivision in Guagua and has branched out all over Metro Manila and the South.

Sersia Juan or Apong Sersia formulated the famous Razon's halo-halo in 1908. Their halo-halo is composed of sun-ripened saging na saba, macapuno and leche flan with dayap (lime) rind added with shaved ice and milk. FYI: Sugar is not needed anymore because the taste is already balanced.

Razon's of Guagua is also home to Pancit Luglug with naturally blended red sauce with baby shrimps, egg slices and finely crumbled chicharon.
