Last month, I celebrated my twenty-seventh birthday (coincidentally, on the twenty-seventh of November). Of course, the best way to celebrate a special day is always with the family.
On that day, my goal was to find a place where I could have good food while enjoying a spectacular view of nature; plus, a place I really have not been yet. Since Tagaytay is less than an hour away, it was the top choice. I did some researching beforehand and voila, we were headed to RSM Lutong Bahay.
Interiors and Features
RSM Lutong Bahay is located at Maharlika East, Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay City. If you are Batangas-bound, this is situated on the left side of the road after Leslie's.
The parking space is located right in front of the restaurant, spacious enough to accommodate guests with vehicles. The main building has two storeys, the interiors were all furnished with wood.
Passing through the main building, we reached the view deck. The view deck was like a garden in the sky. We chose to stay here for a more "Tagaytay feel".

Food Choices
As the name suggests, the restaurant offers lutong bahay or home cooked dishes. We did not miss out the famous Bulalong Tagalog alongside Lechon Kawali and Halabos na Sugpo for our main course; we had halo-halo and leche flan for dessert.
RSM offers a wide variety of food selection ranging from appetizers to main courses. Their must-try includes inihaw na pusit, tawilis and laing.
Of all the dishes we ordered, my personal favorites were the bulalo and the leche flan. The bulalo was not that masebo and the meat was so tender that it separates easily when you use the fork.

Compared to other restaurants with big dining areas, RSM has staff all over the place. We did not have a difficult time negotiating our concerns because they were prompt and accommodating.
Waiting time for food is approximately thirty (30) minutes. While eating, we were serenaded to the tune of "A Very Special Love" adding sweetness to the ideally perfect location.

RSM also offers wedding, birthdays and baptismal packages.
Value for Money
For all the food we ordered, we spent 1,993.39 bucks (with 10% SC). A bit expensive because there are other restaurants offering the same food at a cheaper price, minus the view of course; but not really bad when you realized you went home with a happy and full tummy with take-outs.
Overall Impression
I'm giving my thumbs-up to RSM Lutong Bahay.
